EPL Club with the Best Free Kick Tackers

The Premier League is one the best league all over the world if not the best and with such plausibilities of been the best among the rest, it is only imperative the league produce some of the footballing icon throughout the ages.

However, since the rebranding of the league in 1992, the Premier league has attracted so many fine footballers and apart from their best footballers’ attraction, the league has produced so many greats in the game.

Currently, there have not been many free kicks goals in the current campaign while the likes of Williams, Kelvin DeBruyne and Trent Alexandre Arnold are yet to score a free kick goal this campaign, the unlike players like Richard Ward-Prowse, Raheem Sterling and the like have registered their name among the best dead ball specialist this campaign.

More importantly, either past or present, some clubs have produced the dead ball specialist, while they went on to be among the Premier League greatest free kick takers of all time and some could not go beyond some season before they fade away but below are the clubs that had produced the best free kick taker in the English Premier League.

Manchester United

The Old Trafford club has been the most successful team of the Premier League era, while they’ve won the competition wan for a whopping thirteen times victories to their name and its not a doubt that the team had produced some devastating free kick takers in the history of premier league while the likes of Eric Cantona, David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney to name few dead ball specialists in the league.

However, Manchester United will be fondly remembered for David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo, because the two great players will always be remembered for generations to come for their dead ball accuracy and brilliancy.

While the former had scored 18 dead ball goals to his name and the later scored 13 dead ball goals before they both departed the Old-Trafford Club in 2003 and 2009 respectively but the likes of Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney will mostly be remembered as their departure wind down the most successful era in the league.

Chelsea

While some great footballer had graced the Stamford Bridge as the likes of Didier Drogba, Nikolas Anelka, Frank Lampard, Michael Ballack and the rest have shared the responsibility of dead ball situation on the field while they wear the famous Blues shirt.

Furthermore, the likes of Williams might have move to the London Neighbor, Arsenal, but it was in Chelsea that the Brazilian will be remember for his dead ball prowess.

More so, the West London club might not have the most prolific free kick taker in the Premier League history, so many players consistently delivered the set piece advantages to the West London clubs almost every time and they’ve all made their mark in the league while been so successful with the club.

But it was Gianfraco Zola that had the best impact when it comes to free kick in Chelsea jersey in English Premier League with thirteen goals to his name.

Arsenal

No team can boast the rank of invincible and the likes of Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires, Patrick Viera, Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas without mentioning such team as one of the club with best free kick takers.

Also, Thierry Henry is rank among the premier league greatest free kick taker of all time while the French prodigy is ranked only behind the Manchester United great, David Beckham in the number of converted free kick.

Occasionally, Patrick Viera found the back of the net with his free kick and the Dutch wonder attacking midfielder, Dennis Bergkamp can be categorized within the same bracket as the French international, other players such Robert Pires, Freddie Ljumberg, Theo Walcott, Cesc Fabregas, Van Persie and others have produced the moment of magic on one or two occasion while they wore the shirt of the North

London club and with this plethora of player that have represented the Fly Emirate stadium club while the found the back of the net with their free kicks, Arsenal is well represented as one of the clubs with best free kick takers.

Liverpool

For a team that had produced Steven Gerrard and John Arne Riise, while the likes of Fabio Aurelio and Daniel Arger do not take much of their time at the Melwood Park. But Liverpool is well represented when it comes to free kick taker, while Daniel Arger and Steven Gerrard are blessed with thunderous short and beautiful curling of the ball, but John Arne Risse is well boasted when is comes to powerful short and Aurelio is good with the curling alone.

However, with the departure of Coutinho in 2018, Trent Alexandre-Arnold is one of the best free kick taker among the crop of Premier League players while he registered couple of free kick goals to his name in last campaign but with regressed form that Liverpool is having in the current campaign, the England right back is yet to find the back of the net with his beautiful free curling free kick, but subsequently, the Liverpool wing back is expected to carry on the touch of the dead ball prolificity in Anfield.

Tottenham

From Aaron Lennon, Gareth Bale and now Harry Kane, Tottenham Hotspurs had been blessed with generation of beautiful free kick taker in the league. Although, not many have been converted among the rank of Spurs lately, but with number of players that have converted the freekick at White Hart Lane, Tottenham had produced some of the best free kick taker in the history of Premier League.

Manchester City

Although, like Tottenham Hotspurs, Manchester City boast some good free kick taker among their rank but the plausibility of the Cityzen among the best is well confirmed after their acquisition in 2010. But for a team that boast the rank of Robinho, Kun Aguero, Stephen Ireland, Yaya Toure, Gareth Barry, Kevin DeBryune, Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling among the best.

Manchester can boast one squad in modern football and while they are on the success part, the likes of Leroy Sane, Kevin DeBryune, Fernandinho and David Silva have taking the free kick to another level in the English Premier League in recent times and while none of the aforementioned is consistent with the free kick or department in recent time, Raheem Sterling is one of the few players this campaign to register successful free kick.

Newcastle United

With Lauret Robert scoring eleven free kick goals to his name under the cadre of Newcastle in English Premier League, the Saint James Park team can further boast of Joel Barton, Alan Shearer and others. Newcastle United is a team with free kick specialist during their time as one of the best team in the league.
